What is hVacui?

hVacui is a hex-based tactical trading card game where strategy meets dark fantasy. Unlike traditional strategy games, you don't control individual units — you command groups of up to 8 minions, each with their own stats, levels, and abilities.

Plan your moves during the planning phase, then press PLAY and watch the chaos unfold. Every turn is a gamble between careful positioning and unleashing powerful card magic across the battlefield.

Hexagonal Battlefield

Navigate diverse terrain — forests, mountains, deserts, wastelands, and water — each affecting movement and combat.

Squad-Based Combat

Actors are groups of up to 8 minions. Melee, Ranged, and Magical combat classes create layered tactical depth.

Server-Authoritative Multiplayer

Simultaneous turn planning with server-validated execution. No cheating, no desync.

Game Mechanics

Two-Phase Turn System

I

Planning Phase

Queue your actions: cast cards, set movement paths, train recruits, and manage mana production. Take your time — strategy rewards patience.

II

Execution Phase

Press PLAY. The server resolves all players' actions simultaneously across 5 phases: Start, Cards, Movement, Combat, and End.

The Mana System

Every card requires mana to cast. Train novices at your structures to produce mana each turn. Six primal types form three opposing pairs, and a seventh — Antimatter — transcends them all.

Antimatter

The universal mana. Antimatter fuels Artifact cards and can substitute for any primal mana type when paying a card's cost — making it the most versatile resource on the battlefield.

Combat & Levels

Combat Classes

Melee ATK 2 / ARM 1 / HP 7
Ranged ATK 2 / ARM 0 / HP 7

Level System

Minions have levels 1–3. Higher-level minions cause lower-level attackers to miss their early strikes. Recruits level up by surviving battles where they score kills.

★★ ★★★

Four Schools of Magic

Manifestation

Brings something into existence. Summon creatures, create structures, spawn units. Instant and irreversible.

Evocation

Instant effect on a target. Direct damage, healing, dispelling. Fires once and resolves immediately.

Alteration

Permanent change that persists until dispelled. Stat buffs, persistent triggers, lasting enchantments.

Infusion

Temporary change that expires after an event or set number of rounds. Short-term tactical advantages.

The 12 Houses

Each house combines two of the six mana types and fields a unique race of minions. Houses are paired in opposition — where one draws power, the other finds weakness.
